Hi there! I’m Kaelar, the artist behind this project that I called Sarcia. I thought I could explain myself a bit here, give a little more background to this whole thing.
Sarcia has been part of who I am since high school, when I first had this world come up to me. Like many others I’ve grown up being a big fan of many worlds from the realm of imagination. From books to movies and video games, I found a sanctuary into these worlds, a place where everything was possible. When I became old enough to grasp the idea that I could maybe create my own, I became obsessed with it. It became my Dream.
And so Sarcia was born. A unique universe inspired by everything that I liked. It would be hard to put an exact label on what genre of world it is. But if we had to I would say that it’s mainly Fantasy, with a little bit of Sci-fi and a pinch of Post-Apocalyptic. All this wrapped in colorful vibrant visuals with characters of all shapes and sizes. It has its own constructed language and alphabet. It has its own laws of physics, its own history, mythology, cultures and more.
This website is a Narrative Worldbuilding Project, for lack of better term.
The idea is to explore this world of mine through many perspectives and media types, mainly illustrations and writings.
First, there is the Echoes, which could be considered like the main “Canon Story” of Sarcia if you will. They represent true moments of history captured in crystals and interpreted by scholars known as Tale Weavers.
And there's…all the rest. Journals, works of in-universe literature, sketchbooks, guides. All written from different perspectives.
Hopefully the idea is that over time, this will create an intriguing tapestry of a world that’s fun to lose yourself into
