In this chapter we’re gonna explain how the Storm came to be. Or at least what our understanding of its beginnings are. This topic was still heavily debated even at the heights of the Cerulean Empire.
If we believe the writings found in the archives of the Cerulean Empire, the main theory regarding the origin of our world dates back to the Bloom Era and the research of the Wyv Orakir.
They believed that the Primordial arrived in our universe more than 4 000 cycles ago. At the time, the world was nothing more than an empty vast white desert of Sands. Their vision of it often depicts it as the White Canvas upon which a universe was waiting to be painted. An eternal realm of stagnancy awaiting motion.
And motion did indeed come.
The Primordial, in essence, was the brush that would paint that world. This colossal shard of Stillness arrived from the void in a crash course collision with the White Desert. Shattering upon impact into countless shards. These fragments would literally become the seeds that birthed life in the Storm.
The sheer force created by the Collision created the energy that still drives the world today. We call it Flow, the lifeblood of our universe.
The resulting effects of this single event known in most cultures as the Collision are still apparent today. The Primordial acting as the heart of the Storm, it pumps Flow throughout the universe with each of its beat in order to keep it in motion. The Sands from the White Desert form most of the physical matter to this day. And the shards of Stillness resulting from the broken parts of the Primordial are the essential shards of Stillness that we all use in our daily lives today.
